Quick Mix Chocolate Cake

270g Sugar
185ml Milk
125g Butter
50g Cocoa
1/2 tsp Bicarb Soda
150g SR Flour
2 tbsp plain flour
3 eggs


Put sugar, butter and milk in a saucepan. Met & mix.

Add cocoa and bicarb

Heat and whisk (don't boil)

Turn off heat

Add flour slowly and whisk

Add beaten eggs.

Stir.

Cook 45-55 mins at 160oC/Gas 3 or 4.

Steamed Treacle Pudding

Weigh 2 eggs.
Put the same amount of egg, margarine, sugar and self raising flour in a bowl and mix. Add 1 tablespoon of water.
Grease and flour a glass bowl
Put treacle or golden syrup in the bottom of the bowl.
Pour the mixture on top.
Cover with cling film
Pierce the cling film.

Cook in the microwave on a medium setting for approx 7 mins.

Serve with custard. Yum x

Bread & Butter Pudding

6 slices of thin white bread (though I buy thick sliced so used 4)
2 oz butter (though I just butter the bread)
50 g sultanas (or what was left in the end of a packet)
40g caster sugar
2 eggs
1 pink of milk
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

Remove the crust from the bread, butter and then cut into fingers
Put 2 slices worth of fingers into a oven proof dish.
Sprinkle with sultanas and sugar
Put the rest of the bread in.
Whisk the milk and egg together. Add nutmeg.
Pour mixture over bread.
Leave to stand for 1/2 hour.
Put in oven gas 3 for 3/4 to 1 hour.
